Tire Life?
How long do tires last a a Dyna. I have a 2008 Street Bob that has 4,000 miles on it and the rear tire is shot. The front still seems to have plenty of life in it. I bought the bike w/ 2,000 miles and have not ridden it overly aggressively, no burnouts, etc.

I had 12k on my first rear, about 19k on the front.

I get about 8k out of a Dunlop. I switched my dyna to commander 2's and I have 12k on the rear and it's only half worn.
My softail still uses Dunlop's but the next set will be commander 2's

That's bizarre. Are your tires made out of granite?
I get about 1,500 miles out of a pair of the best street tires money can buy ($1,200 in tires between 3,000 mile oil changes).

I have 4,400 miles on my back stock tire on my 2016 LR and its still got great tread on it. It has very few tire spinning take offs on it. Lol

10 year old OEM tire should be replaced. I was able to get about 10k from the rear on my switchback. I am now running Commander II's. I would inspect your tires carefully and check for dry rot, sidewall cracking.

Tire wear is very subjective...tire pressure, alignment, how you ride, road conditions, hiway vs in town all play a part.
Tire compound, manufacturing date, and balance also
I would think anything over 5k on a rear and your doing good, especially if they are good sticky tires
