I’m moving to Phoenix AZ in January to attend MMI and I’m leaving the wife and kid in Oregon while I’m going to school so that means a lot of saddle time and I was wondering if there is anyone who likes to stunt on their dyna or a group of riders who do out in that area and if so, would you/they mind a new comer joining, also what are some good biker hangouts in the area? Need a place to drink that doesn’t have any LOP’s.
Not sure what your living conditions are going to be but I have a friend (recruiter) that works for UTI and he always told the guys don’t take anything your not willing to have broken into or stolen when going to school out there. Ditch the out of state tags at least. And not that it matters much but I thought MMI was in Florida? Anyways, good luck!

Yes, they have MMI here in Phoenix. I wanted to go but couldn't justify the expense since it would have been only for my own personal knowledge. Not sure if the friend from UTI was referring to a "dorm" situation or what, but there are plenty of safe neighborhoods in the Phoenix area
Not so much in Phoenix between May and September, but we're just now easing into the riding season here...although if you're willing to sweat it's good here year 'round
My wife and I got married on a hot air balloon in Cave Creek (north side of PHX) by way of 2 rented Fat Boys. I am of the firm belief that in riding an HD, there is nothing cooler than riding one through the desert chasing a sunset. All the best in the exploration of your new area!
