exhuast heatshield issue
Anyone every use cold weld on a exhaust heatshield.
One of my clips came off the heatshield. If I weld it it back on with heat I will destroy the chrome.
Only other option is buying a new heatshield but that's half the price of a whole new exhaust from V&H.

Your right! Just back up the head with aluminum so it doesn't scar the polish. It will help also to have some one hold your work piece while you work

Stainless Steel diamond Plate,cut it,measure what you need as well as your pipe diameter, then buy the appropriate stainless steel hose clamps,cut em and size em up to ensure a snug but effective shield away from the pipes themselves behind the diamond plate ( the clamps themselves will give you 1/2" and help with heat clearance and burn issues )
