Default Chain conversion

Hello, I have a 2012 super guilde with a built 120r motor. I had a spun wheel bearing that cause my chain to shear all the teeth off my sprocket. I finally got a new wheel and looking at Imzz Elite Aluminum Rear Sprocket or should I go with a steel sprocket? Thanks for any help or advise you can give me.

What kind did you break? 530 chain? Proper alignment before and during bearing failure?

PBI sells both 7075 aluminum and carbon steel (alloy unspecified). About $75 each. Not fancy, but you'll be hard pressed to find find better.

I'd call PBI and see what they recommend.

Aluminum sprockets (wheel) are plenty stout.

I used a Vortec sprocket for about 40,000 miles at a high hp level...

It was about done though.

Now, about those crappy/cheap wheel bearings....

Agree-
I run aluminum and it works great as well the many imports that use them with no issues.
