i understand the stock shock is 12 inches. so maybe a 12.5 or 13.0 inch would work better. i am really surprised more people are not having the same problem.but i guess most people take the stock mufflers off the day the buy the bike.
Thanks, but I already have the rear shocks in position 5.... I am pretty sure I can not adjust any higher.
are you sure your at the highest setting? Cause it would feel like a brick back there, I did it myself on my Superglide, thought I was on the highest setting when in fact I was at the bottom, it is easy to get them confused....I would grab your shock wrench and start turning them...just to confirm the setting, then I would put them 2 clicks up and go for a ride. You would be surprised how even one adjustment point higher or lower can alter the way the bike feels...

It's marked with a big number "5". And the my manual says to use number 5 for two up riding.

yes, but did you try what I asked? The reason is maybe adjusting them a couple of clicks works...maybe it doesnt but I would go by feel, not what the manual says, @the highest setting youll have almost no absorption...like I said, it will feel like a brick back there. Adjusting them also ensures that they truly are in the right settings...try it, it takes 1 min a shock.
I had the same issue with my Street Bob. The lower muffler touched down before the right peg. 13.5" shocks makes it happen a lot less often, and rides better as well.
