When Multi tells me to do something, I always drop everything and do it (and just did)! He always knows!!!
Yup, before installing an R&R Cycles Overflow, I used to run the same SE backing plate (with a horseshoe breather). I know that backing plate is set up to accept the breather vents, but Bruce's description of having a "crossover tube" made me think he was running a similar external vent setup to the one I used... But I guess not?
Had the bike for a year. Only thing Ive done is shocks and fork springs, and some carb work. When I worked on the carb I just put it back in the way it came out. It does have the horseshoe breather, but instead of venting to a canister or open, the hose is on a nipple on the backplate with a clamp. Wish I could attach pics. Maybe its my phone.

I was just throwing it out there ... just in case (and if someone hadn't seen that style before)
Follow up question. I got the drag specially horseshoe breather. The instructions dont mention anything about the bracket holding the carb. Not sure what order to put washers in relation to bracket. The bracket holds in the carb and is bolted with the breather kit.
