10W40 Synthetic?
Sorry, I know folks on here get jumpy when you throw the "W" word around but I ride all year and I was wondering if anybody can recommend a 10W40 synthetic oil for bikes. I ran the SE Syn3 (only comes in 20W50) all year in my Sporty but I'm thinkin I should go with the thinner oil in the winter (down to 20 deg.) in the Bob due to the bigger motor seemingly needing more oomph to turn over and that it is the grade that's called for in the manual at those temps. Yeah, I know it's summer but I thought I'd throw out an off topic for you guys to chew on.

mobil makes a motorcycle four strokesyn. 10w40 that i have used in the eng oil as a winter oil. I live in west mi. and it does cool down between Nov. and Mar., check your owners manual for the viscosity versus temp. as soon as the spring times start hitting the 50's then mobil 1 20w50 goes in. it's worrked fine for me. if you want to save some coin, i've on different boards that mobil syn 15w50 will work fine too.
