I've been out of the Harley loop for a while and was wondering, (besides the Engine and Tranny) what were some differences between a 2005 Super Glide and 2012?

 

39mm to 49mm
11.5 to 11.8 in rotors
3/4 to 25mm axle
5to 6speed
Longer stroke

 

new frame and larger front end in, 6 speed in 2006

 

All Good Answers Above other than the 05 is 1" Front Axle and 04-05 are Frames unique to those 2 Years .. Found that out when got such a good deal on my Mustang Seat for my 05 .. Vendor wanted it gone .. Also No Worries on Cam Tensioner Upgrade ..

 

What about the tire size? Have the brakes improved??

 

Tire Sizes are different from 06 up I believe.. On the 05 is 100/90/19 F and 150/80/16 R unless a Wide Glide then is 21" Front Brakes more than likely have improved although can't verify this ..
