Default Newbie question

Hey all,

I was gifted a 2009 Dyna super glide and am unfrotunately not a rider myself. Looking to sell it but there are a couple minor fixes that need to happen first. The first being the signal lights on the bars are broken and need to be replaced and the license plate holder was broken off. As far as I know its a stock one and it has power to it for the lights. I have poked around a bit online but if someone who knows these models could point me in the right direction for what I need to get it fixed up that would be great. Thanks so much. Please see attached are pics.

Use their parts finder for what you're looking for.

Any Harley Dealer can help you as well. Not just on line places. Anything local when you google search Harley’s?

Personnaly I would just sell it as it is, most you will lose is like $100 bucks or so...

What crusader said. Most Harley riders will replace those parts in one form or another as they personalize their bikes anyway and won't mind doing the work themselves.

To me, gifted means here you go it's yours, or you received it from someone 's passing. I would have knowledgeable about appraising bikes look at it then post it for sale if you aren't willing to care for it or ride it. what ever you make it's 100% profit to you if you don't fix up or put new parts on it. Now my soap box, if a friend left it to you, then you must have meant something to that person and he/she thought you would take care of it.

Do you want to learn to ride? You could keep the bike, cheap fixes (at least in the grand scheme of things) and learn to ride it. Take an AMA safety course, and let the adventure begin! Or as previously stated, sell it as is. Someone will buy it, no doubt

Ok, I have to say it too... the course is $50 and a weekend, if you discover you enjoy riding you already have a Harley. Could be one of the greatest decisions you ever make.

If not, well it would sell easy enough as is as others mentioned, or if you want to know everything it needs any dealership will be able to tell you and have the parts to fix it and install them too if you want ( but if they do you're going to probably loose money in the repairs vs what you would make back having them. Having them glance over it would be free unless you want them to check deeper into the bike than curb appeal).
