Was debating on smithing a leather spring solo seat for my Wide Glide. I do custom seats and have one on my 74 Ironhead, and have seen some of you in here do it to your Bobs and your Supers, but I wonder how one would look on my WD with the ducktail fender, etc.
Anyone have any pics of one on a Wide Glide?
Thanks
No, but the other day I stripped mine down for solo riding and thought the same. If I could have the width and comfort of my mustang seat with the look of a spring seat I'd be all about it. Roll your apes out a little taller and lower your rear shocks. It would look sick - especially on the pre-o5 fenders.
I'm pretty proud of the way this one is turning out.
Unfortunatley, I'm going to have to get rid of the spring seat. As much as I love the way it looks, it just is not right for my riding style.
I'm a BIG guy (close to 300 Lbs) and like to do some good riding and the seat is just not comfortable enough for me on the longer rides.
If anyone is interested, I'm going to be selling the seat, springs, frame cover/mounting bracket, and rear mounting posts. It's the whole set up to put the seat on most all Dyna's.
