I recently acquired a 2001 FXDP Defender with a wide glide front end. I want to revert back to stock but dont know exactly what I need. My ultimate goal is to make it a clubber style Dyna (go figure). I would have started with a different platform but this bike was an amazing deal and full of upgrades that easily make up for the cost of conversion.
If it was a 2001 wide glide front end you will need a replacement rim with dual disk mounts, spacers, fork tubes and lowers with dual caliper mounts, triple trees, a dual brake master cylinder, two calipers, dual brake line hose, as well as replacing the speedometer you have for a speedo and tach that mount to the handlebars. There was also a bib to cover where they relocated your speedometer to. May need a front fender as well. Somebody did an awful lot of work to that bike to basically make it a Super Glide with footboards.
I have parts off a 2002:FXDP please ask for pics if you like to see them front light assembly, boards and mounts (no shifters or other pieces), radio box mount with Whelen amp attached and speaker, light pole w/ blue lamp, engine guards, bags with mounts/carriers.
