Default StreetBob Question

I had my2006 StreetBobat the dealer where they replaced the rear wheel due to rust issue along with the speedo due to being crooked and having a haze film on the inside. when I got it back and was on my ride home I noticed when in 6th gear there is a small number 6 lit up on the speedo, I don't remember that being there before. my question is if that feature is somthing new for the 07's or did I just never notice that before?

Does that mean they also fitted whatever sensor make the light come on?

I can't remember what makes it work now, but I read about it a couple months ago, while trying to get it to work with my thundermax. There is no "sensor" per'se, the computer makes the determination based on information it is already receiving from other sensors. That is why there is somewhat of a delay after going into sixth gear before the light comes on, and why all the settings have to be just right for it to work with the thundermax aftermarket ecm.

cool thanks. I swore I didn't remember seeing a small 6 lit up on the speedo before but it makes sense if it wassomething new for 07' so the replacement speedo was an 07 part. I actually like it better because then I know for sure if I'm in 6th gear or not. They also pulled the transmission to do the neutral gear recall.
