Fxdwg2 finally fixed!
I posted about a month ago about buying a 2001 switchblade from local harley dealer. I had 2 issues. The first one was serious, the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. Finally fixed. Stator was bad and one of the battery terminal wires kept shorting out. The other issue was the big radius 2 into 2 pipes had the baffles removed. Not only was bike way too loud ( setting off car alarms loud!!!), the decel popping was too much. Not sure how it affected performance, but I didn’t like it , not to mention my neighbors. Anyway, I had Vance and Hines Quiet Baffles installed and the difference is unreal. Pipes are still loud, but deeper and not so tinny, the decel popping is gone as well. Not sure about how the performance will improve, but the sound is much better. But the best thing was, HD didn’t charge me for the baffles or installation. So anytime I see a post about “stealerships”, I will have to disagree. I have always had a great experience at mine. ( 6 years)
