Default Primary Leak

I think my bike has a primary oil leak. The oil is coming from the back side of the primary behind where the sprocket is. Has anyone used the All ***** high torque bearing kit. This eliminates the need for the race that can move and cause these leaks. Though this sounds nice, I'm concerned that if the inner bearing ever fails it will take the shaft out ($$). Do you recommend replacing with a bearing kit with the race or going with the Baker/All ***** bearing that does not use the race between the bearing and shaft?

I suggest the sealed bearing without the race. If the leak is behind the sprocket though then you probably have a leak from the mainshaft or shifter seals on the transmission.

Thanks. I am definitely leaning towards using that bearing without the race. Just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone had bad experiences with this bearing going bad and ruining the shaft itself. When I remove the inner primary I plan on replacing all the seals. Shift seal, xmission main bearing seal, quad seal, Starter seal, inner primary bearing and seal. May sound like over kill, but I really don't want to have to go back in there again. It's not a big leak, so this will be a winter project this year. That is nice bike you have there. I did the big rotor upgrade as well. Does yours sound like a bee hive when you apply the front brake?

I tried to replace my bearing but the previous owner cut the old race off and replaced the bearing at some point, but nicked the mainshaft. Now the race has to stay to seal the nick in the mainshaft so I have to stay with the old style bearing. The front rotor doesn't hum too much but I noticed it rubs more than the original. I imagine with the larger diameter that any slight misalignment causes noise.
