Hi. I just got back from a 250+ mile trip around the country North of Houston TX with my new Sundowner seat. I had a stock one before and after a ride that long my skinny *** was always in pain. (The only thing skinny on me is my ***..though...dammit. After this trip my booty felt great. I could have gone another 250 not problem. If you have a stock seat and dont have the 500 smackers for a more expensive after market seat dont hesistate to get this one. It did the trick.
Have only done a couple of short runs with my Sundowner on my FXDC, but better than the stocker!!
I also suffer from the skinny butt syndrome, and as you stated, the only skinny part.
I bought my Harley to ride, not to show, so looks of seat not as important as comfort.
Have a 300 mile round trip this week for my 1st service, so will test out the seat properly.
I had a sundowner for 2 up riding on my WG , I felt it was OK for about 250 miles tops, after that the foam gave out. My daughter felt the same way. I now have a Corbin Dual Tour.. way more $$ but a way better seat too.
I have a two-up Sundowner & agree that it is very comfortable, but I hate the look of it. Idon't need a two-up seat any more since my wife has her own Low Rider now soI bought a Sundowner solo seat. That seat is totally different. It raises you up so you sit more on top of the bike instead of down in it & it is much wider in the front. I didn't like it at all so I took it back to the dealer & got my money back. Now I'm waiting for my new Mustang to arrive, but it's on back order.
Yea. I agree it doesnt look all that good but I have a become a function over forum type of guy lately. I would rather have a seat that looks a little puffy than have a sore ***.
