Hi all ! I’ve recently bought a cheap 1996 fxdl... the first time I rode it, it made some god awful noises... on rough ground it sounded like the motor hammering against the frame so got it up on the lift and sure enough the crankcase has been banging against the stand crossmember ! 2 new drag specialties mounts and a LOT of head scratching later and it’s better but 2 up and over heavy bumps it’s still clattering against the crossmember ! Anyone else had this problem ?
