Looking to turn my bike into a club style bike and just curious if anyone has done this to a super glide custom. If so anyone have pics or recommend certain parts?
I did a bit of a club look for my bike. I work at a shop so i see a lot of the stuff. You'll wanna do some T bars. I did the Biltwell Tyson XL in 12s cause i was able to use stock cables and wires. Any of the T sport fron fairing are gonna look great. Im currently using the Burly Tall Sport toruing but if you have the money go with one of the Conely T sport fairings. Saddleman Step up or the La Pera kick flip will get you the aggressive seating look. Get a Thunderheader or any 2 into one short exhaust. I like the Bassani or TBR. Get rid of that stock air cleaner. Raise up that front suspension and the rear and you'll have the "Club Style".
If you take a look at my welcome post youll see where im at. I just need to do suspension and a real 2-1 pipe.
@ fxdup, et al, What exactly is a "club" style bike. I'm old, I know. Didn't ride for 20 years, etc, etc.
Is it just a Harley turned cafe racer or road racer?
Longer rear shocks and fork extensions, a sport fairing, T bars, 2-1 exhaust. It's a Harley that is set up more like a long distance dirt bike or drag race bike with a high stance. The T bar thing I don't quite get, but they are popular as a sport look while getting the higher hand position you'd get with ape hangers. They usually have a 2 up fastback style seat that is similar to a cafe racer seat though.
