It was just a explanation/comparison on the oem and aftermarket motor mount, or just my experience

But anyways, I just can’t see how I could lower the exhaust and then bolt it in again to specs without it going back to the original position

Well, it happens. I'm guessing the exhaust was installed (or readjusted) after the mount had started to collapse, so it is positioned correctly for the sagging engine. Try it or not, your choice. If you decide to, use the tightening procedure supplied by the exhaust manufacturer. If it didn't matter they wouldn't have one.

Also, make sure the foot peg bracket is correctly positioned. I never figured it out, but when I got my Dyna, the bracket was touching the exhaust and the brake pedal could not be adjusted to my satisfaction. When I took it apart and put it back, everything changed and all was good.

This along with what is the length and spring rate of the front forks? With a stock style front end, most go 1 to 2 inches over stock length. Did ODC build your suspension for your weight and riding style? The suspension has to be a little stiffer if you’re riding it like track day on the street.
