Thank you both for the replies. A photo of the bracket would help, a template would be huge. What kind of price am I looking at for fabrication?. I have been spending like crazy for winter upgrades. Not only different pipes, but newer wheels as well as pirelli tires front and rear. Not broke yet but working on it, lol.
Let me know guys, thanks again.

Yes I believe I have seen one online.....looks like maybe starting with steel tube?
Dang, I just happened upon this thread by accident.
I have a 2003 FXDWG with Short Shots on it. I replaced the gearset with a Baker OD6 which sticks out about 1/2" further than the stock tranny. This pushes the pipes out a bit. I thought about trying to hunt down a fabricator somewhere to make a bracket like stock but about 1/2" closer to the bike.
BlueBob, does this sound like something you would be willing to make for me with proper compensation, or do you think the increased angle of the center of the "Z" shape would cause problems getting the allen bolts back into the tranny?
Sorry for the hijack but this has been one of those things that has been bugging me just a little bit for years. That carbureted 88 with the Baker gearset is real blast to ride, but these days it don't seem like many folks do much for them.
Thank you so much for making this happen, your time and patience with this was unreal. A big kudos to you, without your help I probably would of given up on the pipes. Photos to follow as soon as the pipes are on. You did mention you were selling a set of those pipes, are they listed here or online? I know someone that is looking for a set. Let me know.
