Has anyone done a 34T Compensator Eliminator istallation and the bike basically now need to run on a lower gear so it doesn't feel like it wants to shut off??? Also does it feel like the 6th gear is almost useless???
I'm asking this because the stock compensator on a late TC Dyna is 34T but I put a 34T Compensator Eliminator on a 2009 96" Dyna Fat Bob and now the bike has those issues. Should it make more sense that when doing a change to a Compensator Eliminator to go with a 32T model instead? I haven't found a thread comparing how the bike runs using both models.
Maybe that's why they sell the kit of Compensator Eliminator + Chain Adjuster is a 32T kit not a 34T kit.

I have the Vulcan Engineering 34 t compensator eliminator sprocket and a Hayden automatic chain adjuster on my 07 Dyna. Only thing different that with the MoCo compensator is it starts easier with no kickback, you can feel slight power strokes and quicker acceleration. Got over 100,000 miles on the 105" EFI to CV-40 converted, SE255 cammed Dyna. My Stand Alone Thunder Heart ignition is set with a 6500 rpm rev limiter. Funny, you feel the need to wind the living **** outta it. 6th gear is very usable over 45 mph. If it feels like it's wants to "shut off" you are hitting the rev limiter. Ignition problem, not a gearing issue.
