Belt Width 1" or 1-1/8"
Hey Guys, have a 30 tooth front pulley going to a 70 tooth rear pulley, been running a 68 tooth rear with my stock 1" belt no problems. When I change to 70 tooth rear going to use a 2 tooth longer belt, and finally the question. Should I go ahead and fill pulley with the 1-1/8" wide belt or stay with a 1" belt, just wondering? Going on a 16 FXDB, Thanks!

I assume the concern is strength...
The narrow belts have proven themselves up to the task of most (if not all) the engine builds suitable for street use. 130hp easy.
How hot (powerful) is your engine?
Planning super sticky drag launches?

Thanks, trying to center the rear wheel adjuster with longer belt. The 70 tooth pulley on stock belt pulled the adjuster to far forward. Thanks for the info on belt length, i"ll check on a 132 tooth belt. Not a drag racer and no wheelies although I do push it. Built it for hills, valleys and curves, oh and the fun factor. Engine is a 103 puts out 100hp / 110tq. Seems the 1" is more than adequate.
