Default Dyna Frontend Upgrades

Ive had many bikes during the years. It always seems like the end of a relationship turned into a bike leaving, and another one arriving. My newest wife was the departure of my 2002 FXSTS, that I was really attached too, however decisions were agreed upon and away it went. Being the good decision that she is, she expressed we needed a brand new Streetglide. Financially fitting at the time, we took on the new ride. After work being more time and riding being less, I decided to move that bike on also. Having the new brother-in-law from now marriage going to work at a Indian dealership, I decided I needed another bike ASAP. We found this 2003 Dyna Superglide in another state. It only had 8700 miles and very clean and very stock.. I had it paid off in 4 months and began making changes. Its almost, just the way I want it now. Im a simple folk ? "So the reason for starting thread is to discuss front end upgrades/changes". I totally rebuilt mine with Accutronix Wideglide conversion, chrome triptrees.. Progressive springs.. Headlight and guage change, 12" Todd's z-apes, grips, signal relocation, 21"spoked wheel, Michelin tire, and that was half what was paid for whole bike lol.. Almost done now and feeling happy. This forum was the best info and directions to accomplish this.. Thanks for the welcomes and best to you all !

Looks great! I used to own a 03 sporster and always like the 100th anniversary tanks! Is that a 80/90/21 front tire you are running? Reason I ask is my wide glide came with the 80/90/21 and the first thing I did was go to a 90/90/21 and did progressive cartridges with 12.5 shocks(1/2 inch taller than stock). I then upgraded to a 3 1/4 front rim with a 120/70/21 front tire. I also run alloy art stabilizer’s. The bike handles great.

This is a share & compare thread, right?

I took off a stock '99 DWG front end and put on '08 DWG trees and DF tubes/lowers/brakes. Also in the mix...Ohlins 30mm cartridges, Lyndall rotors, Carlini Lowdown bars, Posh internal throttle, 7" metric-style (side mount) headlight, flush axle, custom 17x4.5 spoke wheel, Motogadget switchgear, and plenty of custom bits to make it all work.

Yours looks awesome for sure..My front wheel is a 21 x 3 1/2 and yes, 80/90-21 front tire. I had switched wheels just prior to frontend when I put the new Fatboy rear wheel on as well. I have the progressive front springs with extra pre-load by I believe 1/2" more spacer than recommended and 15wt fork oil. Its stiff, but not bad stiff. Just feels tight and doesn't dive any longer.
