OK, I am just going to jump right in here and ask... WHY would a shop tell me that my front axle is a 1" when it is suppose to be a 25mm? I have been looking for a rim for by bike since 12-3 due in part I hit a pot hole really hard and bent my front rim. Was told the axle is 25 mm... I find a rim, take it to the shop to have them put it on my bike and it has one on it already (not authorized needless to say I was a bit pissed off...later they call me to tell me that the rim I brought them which came off of same model as my bike (not sure on the year though) would not work for my bike. That it fits an axle 3/4"...is there a solution... I dont want the rim they put onit - its freaking ugly old and used...
I bought this rim and used my stock hub and wheel spacers It comes chrome so I had it powder coated Your stock spokes won’t work because it is a drop center rim . I bought thease spokes. I had it laced and speed balanced. I bought my spokes from bob , great guy to deal with. I went with Avon cobra 120/70/21 front tire with a new back cobra. If you still have your stock scorcher on back I would put a Michelin commander 2 on. If it’s time for a new back also the Avon’s are great tires.the 120 will laugh at the pot holes lol!
