Here we go again
Not having the Dealer do your Stage1
WILL IN NO WAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY
ORIGINAL: BLade1127
Although this is probably the most expensive way to do it, it is definately the best way. Have the dealer install everything andhave it dyno'd. Keeps your bike under warranty!!

Not having the Dealer do your Stage1
WILL IN NO WAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY
For the record, and I'm not sure if it's the same in the US, but my warranty (i'm in Canada) states that an aftermarket exhaust, in and of itself will void your warranty. Regardless of who puts it on.
Now, my dealer assures me they would honor my warranty, but technically they don't have to. Depending on what breaks I guess.

A warranty is only good if everything that is installed, is installed per OEM specs. If you install something wrong, and it hurts something else on the bike, the warranty will not fix it. Taking it to a dealer helps to eliminate this issue as Razor states. Thy will generally honor the warranty since they are "factory trained".
All done, no more talk about warranties.

Ok my second question
when doing the exhaust
Do you have to do the air filter and remapping
at that time? Not that I wouldn't do it I am just curios

1st Run 82.9 HP 111.4 MPH
2nd Run 83.2 HP111.9 MPH
3rd Run 84.6HP 112.3 MPH
It ran smmooooth and no staggers during shifting-
I thought that was pretty good considering thats all the motor has had done to it- Kicked the guys butt beside me ;]he had his Bike dyno tuned and did a lot of $$ work to his Lowrider
I'm very happy ;]

This is my opinion, If you are going to do pipes, get SE intake kit or equivalent at same time and get stage 1 download, this will not be enough for the long haul, but good enough to break in your bike, youmight experience some stumble off idle and some surging at constant throttle, ( it will run great under load),but thiswill diminish as bike accumulates more miles. After break-in you might want to consider some more fuel and ignition management, SERT is one option, very flexible and able to address both variables. Or you can go with fuel management that only increases AFR,i.e Dobeck, Cobra etc, which if you plan no other mods, thesewill be fine, and they have pots you adjust with a screw driver, sorry to say stage I download won't be enough to extract your bikes full potential or rideability, it's not enough of a change and your bike will still run too lean in normal riding conditions. Or you can go the Thundermax, DTT route with wide band O2 sensors which will auto-tune to an extent as long as the initial map is close, lot's of options out there. Just be fore warned the newer bikes don't come "really" ready to run, especially if you start adding parts like pipes and upgraded AC's which will only make a lean bike run even leaner. Harley put's these bikes out on edge to comply with the EPA, there should be a little sticker on the bike that says " you will have to spend another 1.5 K to make it run right" lol. Peace.

We did the S/E High Flow kit, added Race Tuner, did the download before the silp-ons were installed, woke the bike up a bit, then added the Paughco cocktail shaker slip- ons, took it to the dyno drags run it-ended up with

2nd Run 83.2 HP111.9 MPH
3rd Run 84.6HP 112.3 MPH
