Default Pic request - 8” / 10” Straight Risers

I’m currently running 6” socket top risers and Biltwell Chumps and whilst it’s a comfy ride, every time I look at my bike I’m like “what was I thinking going for that look?”... It also twists like hell even after poly bushings.

So I’m going for the tried and true Murdock Riser / Tracker bar setup which I should’ve done in the first place.

I can’t decide between 8” or 10” as Googling either sends unclear results.

If you’re running a similar setup any pics would be more than welcome.

Thanks!

I have 8” Murdoch’s and Biltwell High Trackers. I wish I would have gone with 10’s. My arms are short so I could use the extra height. If I had another $200 to spare I’d switch but these are it for now.

Sorry no 8" or 10" on mine. I am running 12" straight risers with flat drag bars. I'll post pics if you think you're interested.

I’d like to see it even if he doesn’t. Sounds like a tough setup.

Thanks, that’s gotta be one of the cleanest Dynas I’ve seen. Looks like you got an order in with Mr Schaaf lately too, digging the sticker/keyfob.

That’s really helpful, I’m 6’1 so I guess 8” would be too low, especially if you’ve got the high bars too which I think are a couple inches taller than the standard tracker bar.

I’d be keen to see 12” risers for reference for sure!

yeah Max and I go back a long way to early skateboarding days. I’ve been a supporter of his stuff forever. I’d go at least 10” if I were you. What’s the rest of the bike look like?

That’s awesome man, I’ve only met him once at a chopper show here in the UK but he seems like a really nice dude and I’m as much a fan of the bikes he builds as I am of his skating since back in early Real days.

Here’s a pic of the bike as it stands. I’ll admit I’m struggling to love the looks right now but I bought it as it was a low mileage Evo (94) that hadn’t had much done to it. Taller shocks and a Thunderheader are next on the list (the latter being a pain to get here in the UK). The sissy bar is gonna go too I just ride 2-up a lot.

I'm about 5'11" with long arms and long legs for my height. Been riding for almost 40 years now and this is the most comfortable setup I've used. I've done multiple 500 and higher mile days including four 830 mile days and I'm really pleased with how well this works for me. My buddy Ian and I were on a long trip and we traded bikes for 50 miles and his comment was "hey man, you could ride this thing all day"

My other dyna is set up to look like something from the late 1940's. I wish I could find a handlebar setup that puts my hands in the same position as these risers and drags but looks a bit more "old school." I just don't think this setup would look right on the other bike.

That looks tough. I like it. I used to run drag bars but multiple sprains/breaks of my hands, fingers and wrists make that angle a killer for me now. Personally I think tall risers and narrow, tracker or super bars look good on any bike from choppers to baggers but I’m pretty jaded lol. I just hate apes, beach bars, or pullbacks in any form haha.
