Good morning everyone - I have a 03 FXDX that I bought used. Everything worked great up to now... suddenly last time I rode when I push the left turn signal the security indicator on the spedometer comes on and the turn signal doesn't. To get it to turn off I have to push both turn signal switches... my right turn signal works just fine. Can anyone tell me what the problem is or better yet how to fix it?? Any help at all is greatly appreciated!!!

 

The system could be searching for a ground, those front turn signals are notorious for this.
Loosen the turn signals in the front and shoot some WD40 in there, clean the contacts and re-tighten.
Sounds crazy but it might do the trick.
Inspectthe contacts and fuses under the seat too.

 

I tried all of that but didn't have any luck. Any other ideas? Does the security light come on as a diagnostic indicator? I am completely new to all this and pretty well confused at this point. Thanks!

 

I don't think it is a diagnostic indicator but I'm not sure, check with a H-D Tech on that.
