Hey all, I’m swapping my fwd controls for mid controls on my 07 street bob and I’m trying to have the tools ready before I did it. I’ve done a bit of googling and I’m getting mixed answers. What are all the socket sizes I need? Some posts say the main shaft is 15/16” some say 2 1/4” and others say 1 3/16”. Thanks for the replies!
According to my '03 Service Manual the mainshaft nut is 30 mm metric (~ equals 1 3/16) and left handed. Your '07 FXDB uses the same part (37496-90A NUT, mainshaft).
The bolts that hold the clutch spring in place are metric as wel, (size M 6 X 1), and requires the 10mm 12-point tool, right handed. The SCREW p/n 3368 at the compensating sprocket size is 9/16-1/2 X 3 hex head (Grade 8), right handed
