Thinking about one of these two kits for my Low Rider S:
FuelMoto 113 kit, Jamie says this kit will typically see 130/130. Required separate purchase of 58mm TB and larger injectors, so add about $550 to the cost of $1299 for an approx total of around $2000 w/tax and all.
SE 117 kit. Comes with everything, but since I dont care about warranty, to optimize it I would probably want upgraded cams, and definitely will toss the crap SE lifters in the trash and replace with Fueling or S&S, woods, etc. So add about the same $550 to this. However Ill get 15% off the kit for a total cost of about $2500 with tax.

Im more interested in longevity then squeezing the last possible hp/ftlb out of it.
Thoughts?
The ONLY reason I went with the SE kit is because I had it worked into the deal at the stealership. Its never been dynoed but I highly doubt its 130/130. Had I known about the SE lifter issues in the 110 or the FM kits prior to making the deal I wouldnt have gone that route. Just my .02

Just say no to SE. I'm sure they worked out their problems, but their early M8 kits had out-of-round issues just like the OEM jugs. The aftermarket, and especially FM, are top notch.
I know they are great, but I really dont want to ship my bike to them and they are too far for an easy drop off and pick up. Were there no alternatives it would be a different story, but when delivered options that can be installed locally, its not really how Id want to go.

My financial situation changed so I haven't yet placed the order but I thought I was clear with them about wanting to do my own work. Unless we were misunderstanding each other, they were fine with sending me a "kit" (cams, pistons, jugs, heads, etc.)
Sadly, SE performance parts fall short in what they should produce. HD makes nice chrome skull doo-dads but when it comes to the cutting edge of what you pay for for the performance parts they are more like those little, dull, rounded tip scissors they give you to cut crate paper in kindergarten so you don't cut the kid next to you.
Over priced and under performed!
And this is not to say that after-market parts are the ragged edge of performance that would do harm taking one to the edge of calamity.
No, MHO, if I was going to spend the money I'd pay less and get more from other than SE.
130 square, that's some serious uumphhh! That's truck loads of fun territory there, that's two-scoops of hot-damn hot-diggity-dog!
