Not exactly apples to apples-
Several years ago I built a Headquarters 113 as a Sport Touring Twin Cam; in short amazing. I still believe the 113 is the perfect TC size in terms of usable torque and power. It’s not so over the top in either Tq or Hp to be out of control; it just sets both Tq and Hp in the right pocket especially when combined with a good suspension, tires and brakes as we both use. This is a great combination for twisties.
At the time I used a D&D Fatcat and it sounded religiously loud and deep. I switched to a Supertrapp due to a period of local noise police activity and eventually went back to the FC and wore fitted ear plugs. After my son graduated from college, I gave him the bike and glad to report both my son and the 113 have been absolutely trouble free.
The FM link has 3 flavors of pistons using the Wood 999 cam. Anytime I talk to Bob Wood about a cam and compression he has always said “ it’ll take it”. Not getting in your business as such; the 999 cam using 11.0 pistons sounds like a good starting place especially when considering available fuel quality. Are you going have the heads cleaned up?
The FM package gets my vote from the cheap seats; everything FM does is quality and they do whatever to make it right. How could you go wrong?
That's what left such a bad memory with me about SE stuff, the heads. I sprung for a 103" kit up from my 96" on my '08 UC years ago. SE heads and 255 cams and the two emotions it left me with was anemic and lackluster. I know it was the heads, I felt burned and never again. Round scissors
Having had the SE kit, I would say the FM looks good. I like how they give you compression options. Like stated before, 11 to 1 and that cam is going to rock. Since you are going to need new springs, I would send them your heads and have porting done as well. This way, with their HPI 58mm, you'll have their whole combo for your top-end and it is going to rip with their tuner.
