Brake light does not work streetbob

ok i finixhed the diagnosis
When I unplug rear cables, the stop light shuts off, and the front brake turns the stop light on if I press the lever....
I connected the cables also for rear switch and the light comes up.....so obviously the problem in in rear brake switch...

where to find the exact brake switch for my street bob 2014? on ebay I saw some for year 2005 etc....

Maybe try some wd40 on the switch and exercise it a bit. It may just be stuck in the on position.

do I need to unscrew it? then the brake fluid will come out

Don’t think this will work on the rear.

I’m confused. The only picture of a brake light switch in this thread is the correct part you need. It even includes the correct part number. Now if you haven’t determined that with the brake light disconnected you can or can’t replicate the results in the video I sent the link to I’m not positive it’s the rear switch.

You're right. The rear switch actuates on the fluid pressure and not a physical piston like the front. Luckily a rear switch only costs $12

If you aren't comfortable changing the switch, just leave it unplugged. How often do you brake with just the rear brake?
