Hi guys,
I searched the threads and couldn't find an answer, so I'm starting a new thread.
Has anyone had any luck disassembling the idiot light console on the Dynas (FXDL, to be specific)? I was exploring some ideas, like pulling the wire for Oil and Neutral light and using an LED light bolt (the 5/16'' x 18) for the Dash, but couldn't find any info on how to pull apart part number 68789-96B.
I've seen a few threads on the speedo/tach relocation, but nothing about that oval-ish light console.
I did this to an old FXR. Very similar if not identical. I picked up a pack of blue, green and red LED elements in plastic cylinders that fit right in the stock housing. Brightened the hell out of the indicators. I’ll see if Imcan find where I got the LED’s.
These are what I used. Pulled the stock bulbs and I think I drilled to clear the housing, put them in position and and put a drop of hot melt glue to secure them.
