got my bell in London KY. wife and I was in a leather shop and the lady that worked there walked up and handed it to her she said to put it on. If someone gives it to you, you should take it as a very kind act that someone wants to keep you safe. and when you clean it you can always think about the person that gave it to you. It is all part of a tradition and there is no reason to stop it. I have given them to two of my friends that I ride with and I don't think they should be taken lightly if for no other reason than the frindship.J.M.O.
i have one on my bike it was given to me from my grandfather. it is brass just like the one he has on his bike. the bad thing is its pretty old and the little thingy inside of it fell out so i need to fix it very soon cuz i noticed without it ive been almost hit 3 efin times.
So I've noticed in HD's new tv ad campaign the close up of the bike and rider and "bell" hanging from the front fork or handle bar. Is this a "Gremlin Bell"? Whats the background of the bell? Figured it was to spook livestock or deer when out on country roads.
When you are done ridin' you take it off and hook it to your clitoris.
wt.
(That was a joke. That was only a joke. Do not attempt to adjust your set. If it had been an actual post, emergency instructions would follow)
I had one on my FXD and nothing but problems no $hit, close calls with cagers, loose plug wires, plugs ect.(dealer service at fault on that one) Took it off and no problema since, gave it to the X-wife, she's a pilot.

there was one on my bike when i bought it and i cut it off before thinking about it. should i put it back on or is it only good for the original owner?

i think i will. i just talked to the guy i bought it from and he said he had the bike "blessed" at a bike event and the bell was part of it. i'd guess theres some good karma left.... he's a volunteer firefighter.

I have a bell I would be happy to send you. Purchased it for another member in the gremlin bell thread, then he got one. Let me know.
