Default 01 FXDXT purchase

Found an 01 FXDXT local to me with 39,000 miles on it. For whatever reason, it is missing the fairing. The owner is asking for $6k. What do you think is a reasonable price?

What are things to specifically look for an inspect condition wise? He claims the cam chain tensioners have been replaced.

Thanks!

fairing is probably the most cost prohibitive part to have to replace if you want it back to the original look. Could always just do a repop one but that’s up to you. I’d adjust the price down accordingly for missing T-Sport specific parts. Fairing, trees, bags, rear fender, most notably. The rest is pretty easy to source. Without seeing it, with that mileage I’d say it’s a 4800-5200 bike. Just me though.

I had an '01 for many years (and spent many dollars on upgrades) Parts shitface mentioned are hardest to find; insure it has the original front and rear suspension; period...
If there's no fairing (and no bag mounts) could it be an FXDX? Checking the serial number will tell... The rear fender mounts for the bags are distinctive and unique

I have the VIN and it is indeed an FXDXT. The original bags are on the bike, the fairing is gone. How do I verify the front and rear suspension? Is there 39,000 miles something to be concerned with? I want this as a second bike to my Street Glide that I can slowly upgrade to my liking and bomb around town as well as day-trips.

What do you guys think? Is the 39,000 miles something to worry about? I'm thinking about offering $5,500 bucks. It's really the missing fairing that is turning me off.

It appears to have the Fxdx/FxdxT front/rear adjustable suspension and the FxdxT Triple Trees

Yeah. too bad about the missing fairing

So how much does that affect the value? What's a reasonable price for this? I could just go with a Memphis Shades or a JD right?
