Service manual shows 26 oz. in the Primary case, 24 oz. in the transmission and about 3 qt in the engine with a new filter.

The owner's manual I got with my '04 Wide Glide says it's for 04 Dynas. It says to pour in 32 oz when you change it, so that's what I did.

I did fluids a week ago using the Harley 2004 Dyna Service Manual and filled the primary with the amount stated in the manual which was 26 oz. After looking at this post I looked in owners manual that came with the bike and it states in the Table Capacities that the primary holds 26 oz but when you look under primary chaincase lubrication in the same owners manual it states to add 32 oz. Which is right? Wonder how many other numbers are wrong?

I would start at the lower amount of fluid, check dip-stick. If above add, then ride until warmed up. If level is below full just top it off. Some times your refill will be less than capacity. You don't always get all the fluid out when you do a service drain.

I have an inner primary seal leak only a few drops when it gets hot...so I put in 32oz.
