Went to local indy today and ordered Kuryakyn bullet lights to add as extra light that mount on the fork tubes, 49 mm on '07. looking for advice on having wired up. thinking of wiring right to low beam with stock headlamp so they are alwys on like the regular headlamp is and then they would switch off when on high beam. so no extra switches or anything. sound right to you guys?
It'll take you to Cycle Gadgets home page and look up the Autoswitch. When wired in, it will allow you to run the lights with either the high or low beam on, or completely off. It's all controlled by the high beam switch on the bike, minimal wiring. I've found it really useful with the passing lamps wired to my Dyna.
real easy... open up your headlight bucket and tap on to the regurlar light... ground the "ground" wire where you mount the lights.. when you turn on the bike the lights will come on, when you flip to brights they will go off! easy!
Hey thanks for the suggestions. Starting to see how adding mods are going to costme, even though I said I wouldn't be needing to do any. Put led trun signal brackets on back, put SE slipons on her, now some lighting, next will be setting her up for the wife to ride with me. (that would have been done a long time ago but she was real bucky when I bought the bike and said whe would NOT ride with me, now she says it would be nice if she could, so I guess 2 up is next.) Seems she must have gotten over it
