Another confused LED install
Happy Halloween! Hopefully this is an easy one. I have a pair of Kuryakyn rear LED marker/signal/brake lights, a Harley rear LED tail/brake light, and a small LED license plate light on my 11 Dyna Wide Glide, working great w/o intensifiers or a load equalizer.
I installed a pair of Custom Dynamic front LED marker/signal lights and the usual rapid flash and fault codes followed. I have an old in-line load equalizer laying around that was off a 01 Softail and all the info that was on it is worn off. I plugged it in under the seat into 1 of 3 possible ways and it resolved the issues with the front signals but all the rear lights were super bright and slightly shimmering. After about a minute, I turned everything off and the equalizer resistors were pretty warm to the touch. Is this normal?
Ok, the questions
#1 Will this equalizer work, is it working right?
#2 Is it hooked up right?
#3 Am I supposed to have intensifiers?
#4 Can I simply switch the fronts LEDS to Rat Eyes, or do I need to change something?
#5 What else if I want an LED headlight?

I dont have an exact answer but I noticed a couple of things. First, you mentioned you used an old in-line load equalizer laying around that was off a 01 Softail
Electronics for LEDS may be way different now than in 2001. Seco d, you mentioned you have some Custom Dynamics lights....you might try calling them and asking for ideas. I have several of their products on my bike, and I found their customer service to be very helpful in sorting things out. Good luck, hope you get it ironed out
