Introduction
Hello from Georgia! Just wanted to introduce myself and my bike. This is no doubt the forum I'll be spending my time in. I picked up a 2010 Street Bob about a month ago with 474 original, one owner miles. The first month has been resolving a fuel leak I created when I popped that fuel line off the check valve, trying to understand what I had so I could drain the old gas and realized there is no petcock! (Note: this is my 9th bike, first Harley. All pre-dating fuel injection!) so the dry rotted gaskets have been replaced and the leak is gone of course. Paid for the 1000 mile service and to get the check valve rebuilt but even more so for the (Harely-centric but independent) shop to check it out and help make it is road worthy with 10 years of mostly sitting up. Looking forward to getting to know the bike now and getting a few miles in before it gets too cold. It has a lot of buzzing at low to mid range RPM but thanks to this forum, even if I got some ideas from older posts, I already know what I want to check first. Welcome to the forum. Adding to the tires, I would also change out the brake fluid. You may or may not start developing leaks, due to the bike not running for so long and the gaskets drying out. Something to be aware of. Good score otherwise.
