Back in 1981, I bought myself an AMF Harley Davidson Wide Glide. I've always wondered, and still do exactly what the difference (besides the engine of course) is between that Wide Glide and a Dyna Wide Glide. In other words, I guess I'm asking what makes it a Dyna. The both look pretty much the same to me. my slightly modified and painted 1981 AMF Wide Glide

My 2012 Dyna Superglide vibrates, however, not the same way as my old 1987 rigid mount sportster according to my wife.
Isn't the swingarm in the Dyna bolted/mounted to the transmission assembly? I believe the FXE or older was mounted to the frame? (Question marks because I am not sure of the older model., I am sure of the Dyna swingarm mount.)
