It will take a custom machined and/or bent metal to make new upper shock mounts. It is up to you how far you want to go to get "the look" you are after.

Your swingarm would be angling downward if your front forks where longer. I understand the back is being held up by the jack, but your shocks are fully extended and mounted to the swingarm, and they look level. If you install a normal exhaust on your bike, the pipes wrapping around the cam chest are going to be scraping the ground when you are leaning hard.

My personal opinion would to get it set-up without moving the rear shock mounts and see how you like it. You might end up installing longer forks in the front to get more lean angle, and that will give you the look you want in the back. As far as anti-squat goes, I think you are going to have a hard time feeling or noticing the difference, IMHO.

As reference, I've been getting my bike set-up to handle better. I installed 2 1/2" longer front forks, but only have lifted the front by 1-1/8" so far. The exhaust was custom made to allow for more clearance. You have to lift the bike for it to lean more. In your case, you have lowered the front, so it has to be seen if YOU lean enough to cause scraping.

Hehehe, I hear you:-)

My exhaust is pretty high so hopefully that wont be an issue.... As for longer forks thats a bit tricky... Im running Buell front, and they are not easy to extend...

But like you say, I will sett up the bike with correct sag and everything and ride it for a while, then see if something needs to be done.

I will be adding a Sputh kit to it, and maybe ill bite the bullet and order a GPR steering damper....

Very cool!

I also built a new harness and used an M.Unit and most of the other stuff from Motogadget. Works brilliantly. I don't think you'd regret relocating the coil. I also hid mine and it really does clean things up.

Yo:-)

I will for sure move the coil... I will also be removing the battery box and the fusebox. Everything will be placed under the seat/tail.
I will use a Anti-Gravity battery and its so small its funny:-)

Stay tuned for more pictures....

So, this is the progress for today....
The frame will be sent to blasting tomorrow, so I can start the job of cutting away everything I don’t need on the frame😎

the engine is going a part to for a fresh coat of paint after som blasting to🥳🥳🥳

Won’t be much work done this Christmas I think😒🥺 But I hope I can squeeze in a couple of hours on it🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sooooo, long time since my last update😳
Have done some progress in the build and all the new parts are either in house or on its way.

The frame is ready to be painted, and the entire engine and tranny is ready for blasting and powder coat....

I went along and removed the battery box and the fuse box to make a cleaner look.
the battery and the Motogadget M.unit and coils are going under the seat, so I had to box in the frame😎

I will be taking some more photos tomorrow, showing the battery and coil placing.

im also thinking about the engine.... It had the high comp pistons, a SE57 cam, and now we are putting on some ported heads with altered combustion chamber... The question then is: super E carb or not🤔
what do you guys think?

I can understand making a bike your own but to start with what you did and rip it apart was MURDER.... There's plenty of basket cases out there that would've gave you the same satisfaction... NOT a nice job....

You're in Norway, how abundant are harley's in any condition?

I think it would be sacrilegious to cut-up some bikes ... but a 94 plain dyna that someone had already "Customized" is not one of them

Keep it up, it's fun to watch

Any properly sized carb will do a fine job as long as you can tune it. I'd suggest picking whatever you feel most comfortable tuning.
