Default 2012 FXDF Value

Hello all,
I have a 2012 Fat bob that I bought new. It has about 5500 miles on it. (All adult driven, I'm 61 now). It's never been wet. I mean not even washed with a hose. Always kept spotless and stored in a heated space in the winter. I've got about 3 to 4 thousand in upgrades on it.

Need to sell for health reasons and I'm wondering what a fair price would be to ask for it. I don't have to sell it due to financial reasons and am not going to give it away. But I want to price it fairly and see it go to someone who will appreciate it. So, I'm asking for ideas on what to price it at. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks!

Thanks. Is KBB an accurate value? I know in the car industry it's not well respected. At least by the folks I know.

I would price it comparable to other bikes for sale and go from there, KBB always seems low compared to what's actually out there for sale. Dealers are usually on the high end of the scale, and of course there's the dudes that ask way too much because they don't really want to sell their bike...but also don't want their wife or girlfriend to kick them in the nuts for not trying to sell it

Eight year old Dynas are a great value when you are looking for a bike. Therefore they suck when you want to sell one. The extras you put on could be a liability if they are not universally accepted as an upgrade. Items like Leatherpro bags, removable windshields, highway pegs are cool. Skull and crossbones everything and whitewall tires not so much. Low mileage is in your favor. Did you get the 5000 mile service done by an HD dealer? That would help. This isn’t the best time of year to sell either. Bottom line is it is worth what someone is willing to pay.
I am thinking about selling me Superglide Custom also. Just put it away for the winter. I really like the bike but not riding it nearly enough and someone out there will enjoy it. Good Luck.

6000-6500 all day in my area (Chicago)

Sounds like one of many garage queens I see for sale around here.

fat bobs aren’t real popular with the dyna crowd

I had picked up a mint 2012 FXDF with 4k miles on it for $7,200 two years ago (November), It had all HD dealer upgrades, bags, seat, windshield, grips, mirrors, pegs, tail light, LED's all around, etc. I stripped off some of the add-on's (bags, footboards, etc.) to put on another bike (rather than buying them).

I sold it a year later (December) with 5k miles for $8,400.

This was strictly a flip.

NADA says $8640 Retail. Id list it for $8000 and go from there.
NADA is more real Pricing than KBB.

If you're not hurting for the money list it at a higher price and see who bites.
It gives you more room for them talking down the price.

Local dealer has two of them had them at least a year . Dont know the year but they seam to be a hard sell. If he gets a streetbob or lowrider they sell fast . I had a Fatbob as a loaner bike didnt care for it especially the way it looked .
