Adding fork oil? How?
(Yes,I already searched, no info...) Can I add fork oil to '07 superglide forks without jacking it up ? Do I just unscrew the top cap and add?? Service Manual goes thru a whole thing of taking out springs etc. I just want to add about 1/2 ounce to each side to help with the "clunk" Any advise greatly appreciated!
As far as adding oil to help with the clunk, don't count on it. It didn't help on my bike.

I got mine from http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/pr...FamilyId=10975
there is a draining hole for the oil at the bottom of each leg
why not just remove the wheel and axle, pull the tubes out from the trees, turn them upside-down and fill oil from the bottom. thus eliminating the need of messing with the loaded springs and hard time rescrewing the caps on?
wouldn't it work that way?

thats also a pretty small hole to push fluid into.... a pretty small funnel, or a large syringe would probably be needed.

screws into #22, the seat pipe.
I may very well be wrong, but I do not think you want to remove
this screw until you are ready to disassemble the fork pipes.
And, it can be a real mortarforker to remove it.
I used a 1/2" impact and beat on it for about five minutes
before it broke loose.
When I put the WideGlide legs on my 06 SuperGlide I used the
heavier factory fork oil, and I like it better.
Also, hogrida is right about an oily mess, and springs shooting across the room.
So use precaution when removing the top cap.
