I find the biggest issue with aftermarket bars is they are TOO wide, so you may have built the perfect bars being narrower.
Thanks Bill, I totally agree... I also like that they're 10" bars cause on my Fatboy they're only 7 1/2 so I went with 4" risers to settle it in to a comfortable height.. What surprised most was that they're stainless steel....
They DO NOT know better. I did that once getting the PC where the controls get bolted on. I then spent many hours removing the PC, the controls would not clamp on with the additional thickness of PC. Now I put painters tape on everything that should not get PC, they will always do it the easy way, which is to not mask anything off.
It took several thousand miles, but now I wouldn't remove my buckhorns. In fact, I just went with braided lines. My indy asked if I wanted different bars. Nope, I'm good.
I picked up my bars today and was able too get them installed as well... I can't wait to get out on the road... They feel very comfortable just sitting on it in the garage... Well see how it does on the road the next decent day... Three nice thing is everything still works but I do have that brake light staying on unless I push out the lever or release it quickly.. any suggestions?? I did find a piece of rolled up electrical tape in the switch housing... I'm guessing it's function was too make sure the circuit opened...
