Get some ACF-50, spray the **** out of your entire bike (except brake rotors and calipers) and ride worry free! I did it for years and never a speck of corrosion on anything. A simple cold water rinse and good to go.
I took the bike out yesterday for the first time this year! It hit the low 50's here, the road was dry but I still had to watch for the gravel/grit that they use on the road. With the med's I'm on I just can't stand the cold like I used to.
Yeah it's 40* today and I'm half tempted to go out... But all the salt on the road makes me think twice.... Dang It!!!!!!
DITTO, It was Very Tempted to cruise today, 65 degrees clear skies here, 50 miles to lake Tahoe-Truckee that was 40 degrees.
I worked up on Donner Summit at Caltrans DOT as a Equipment Operator, I know all the Rock Salt and brine I put on Interstate 80 up there.
No way would I take my ride up there till May, if there is no snow run off, and/or the street sweepers Sweep the salt off.
I normally have my biked out in winter here In Minnesota. Yea I like my bikes shiney. Every winter I clean them. Then it hits 35 degree and my gravel road is cleanish Im hammered down and smiling. I stopped worrying about having a constantly clean bike and enjoy the ride. Especially in winter! But not this winter. Surgeries on both shoulders so I just get to stair at them but hey they are staying clean

Soon we'll be out there again... It just sucks when you get a new bike, make mods and can only look at it... Although it's 37* this morning..Yehaa.. Heat wave for Feb...
