Default 06 dyna glide

Hey everyone new here and hopefully a new harley owner! My harley shop has an 06 with 31000 miles on it for 6999$ is that alot of miles for a dyna? I've also done a little research and have heard some negative things about the 06 model. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Seems high. Deals are out there, I just paid $2800 for a 2007 street bob with 9700 miles on it. Cosmetically it was horrible and needed cleaned up. Battery was toast too. Runs like a dream now.

That's not high mileage for a well maintained bike. But the price is a bit high, maybe by a couple grand.

I did extensive research on the 2006 dyna model (I have the 35th anniversary, so I wanted this specific model).

There are few things i wanted taken care of, that apply just to 2006 dyna models.
1. inner primary bearing: is notoriuosly weak. will go after 10-15k miles depending on driving style. It will be noticealble when they go (different clunking noise neutral and shifting info 1st). This is not a dangerous problem and replacement of the bearing will be a 1-2 hour job. If you want it fixed permanently or make 100 or more horsepower, another inner primary case is the way to go (2009 and up? I forgot).
. My bike has only stage 1 so I just had the bearing upgrade (all ***** upgrade).

2. The 2006 dyna was the first twin cam with an automatic cam chain tensioner. Thats good news. The automatic primary chain tensioner for 2006 is a different story. the cogs on it are too big, so under haevy on-off throttle the tension can be adjusted too tight with severe stress on bearings and the drivetrain.... the 2007 and up have an upgrade, see picture taken from doc harley. You have the bottom one. You want the A of B version.

3. the last thing is only if you live in a hot climate: the stator-rotor issue. apparently they are two separate parts, so when worn, particles of metal fall off. Welding the two together should solve this.

.

OP hasn't been on the forum since an hour after he posted the question. One and done? Also, I wonder if the location LA is Louisiana or Los Angeles? That would probably make a difference in used bike prices.
