I'm in the process of figuring out how and what all I need to order for an ignition relocation. In the process I noticed that there are only 2 wires going to the existing ignition switch, or am I missing something? If I'm not missing anything
can someone explain to me how this thing works? Only 2 wires doesn't add up for and off/acc/on style key switch.
if I remember, sometime back a guy on the forum explained that this is not an on/off switch but switches resistance. one resistor is for acc and the other for run. it works on a can bus. maybe someone else can chime in and say if is correct or not.
According to the wiring diagrams there are two wires:
Black/Green for ground to post G4 at the BCM
White/Blue as ignition switch input to post C3 at the BCM
The switch is a part of the canbus system like MRFREEZE57 explained

This makes the most sense. It probably has 2 different rating resistors based on the 2 selections. Thanks you the info.
