Default Relocated ignition switch

I know I have seen some post on this topic but i thought i might share my experience. All parts were bought from zanotti motor company. Total cost was 300 dollars. You can go cheaper and buy a switch and install in in your existing dash but i wanted a factory look. I also had them send me the ignition switch keyed to my factory keys. That way i only need one key, to lock the forks, and to lock the ignition.

Install was simple. The hardest part was trying to disconnect the factory harness from the fork ignition switch. I then pulled the harness thru the left side frame hole. Cut and spliced longer wires and plugged harness into switch. There are three wires that need to be extended. Two of the wires are 12 awg and the other is 14 awg.

Part Numbers:
14130-06B Label,Fork Lock
61712-08 Console-Gasket Asy
70706-08 Gasket,Speedo Console
71262-05 Nameplate,Ign Switch
71313-96A Ignition Switch
71766-08 Bracket,Ign Switch/Cons

Looks good

It is one of the favorite things I did to my bike. I also agree getting the harness unplugged was a pain.
