Default Fxdls wobble

Hi,
Trying to remove any wobble and get some stiffness on my 2017 fxdls.
I've read that engine mount and stabilisater improve a lot.

Any feedback on kinetic structure engine mount or any product?

Thanks ✌️

Hand full of good videos showing the difference between oem and Kinetic on YouTube.

I went predator on my front and just bought a kinetic rear mount

Yes I saw them, but it shows the vibration before and after installing the kinetic motor mount.

What about the stiffness and wobble things?

Any is relative to other factors. What kind of speeds are we talking about? We talking about straight line or sweeper? What accessories do you have on your bike?

You can read about my journey here:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ripper-12.html

Even after all the upgrades, I do get wobble in high speed sweepers (120+) if I hit any imperfections in the road, but I am thinking it is the rear swing arm bushing and the swing arm flexing under loads it was not designed for. A custom aluminum swing arm and machined bushings is on the horizon, and that will see if my theory is correct.

I also get a wobble in a straight line at 130, but that is due to the Leatherpro saddle bags. I have taken it to 145 without saddle bags and no wobble.

This was all in Mexico, for the record.

For stabilizers, my recommendation is Sputhe Positrac, with their top stabilizer link.

Thanks for your feedback.
The wobble appear in straight high speed and in curve. I've two rigid bag they can't help the high speed stability.
Are you talking in mph or kph?

The wobble also appears during strong acceleration in a straight line or slightly in a curve, it is scary at times

MPH.

What speed are you referring to when you say high-speed?

I am sorry, but I do not know if you are an old grandpa, and if 75 mph is high speed to you, LOL.

From what you have described so far, it sounds like your bike is not perfectly aligned. If the rear wheel axle is not aligned to the frame, it will give you what you were are describing in acceleration.

I once had a major tank slapper/head shake on my FXDLS under hard acceleration, but couldn't repeat it no matter how many times I tried. Weird.

I see you’re from France, so I edited the below for KPH:

Even after all the upgrades, I do get wobble in high speed sweepers (193+) if I hit any imperfections in the road, but I am thinking it is the rear swing arm bushing and the swing arm flexing under loads it was not designed for. A custom aluminum swing arm and machined bushings is on the horizon, and that will see if my theory is correct.

I also get a wobble in a straight line at 209, but that is due to the Leatherpro saddle bags. I have taken it to 233 without saddle bags and no wobble.

I mean the wobble appear at 120 kph in curve or during strong acceleration from 0.
How can I check the alignement of the rear wheel and the frame?

Just read all modifications in your bike, very impressive stuff. Looks like a beast. Great work.

I'm interested in your Howard's Ohlins 30mm kit in your front end. Did you setup by yourself? Can you give me a average price for the kit?

V.
