The first question you will get asked is.."What type of riding you do?" Second.."Where do you want your power?"

The lower Intake valve closing of the Andrews 48 was actually designed for the 96" TC's as one of the best bolt in cams. But a woods TW-222 will carry out a little farther...

Happy as all get out with my Andrews 48's in my 96". And if you put in some .030 head gaskets, you can use your original solid pushrods.

Very happy with my Andrews 48Hs, just finished the install. I chose to pull the tank and do a rocker box rebuild using my stock pushrods rather than adjustables. The stock head gasket is fine. My setup is similar to yours, exception is my bassani 2-1 vs your thunderheader. The fp 3 tuned very well after just a couple of auto-tune sessions (approximately 45 min).

I’m on a 2013 103 Switchback

Originally went with Andrews 57H cams. Power band started at 3k rpm and pulled to redline, but low end power was soft.

changed to 222’s last summer and very happy with them. Low end power was much better, and overall provided a much better balance of power. Power starts to die off around 4.5k, but i found it was rare that i was going past 5k rpm. Also, the 222’s are very smooth. Really nice all around cam.

OP: The specs on the Woods-222 and Andrews-48 are very similar. Similar enough that you probably won't feel much difference between them just from riding. I'd like to address the upper end power. I've seen a lot of talk on the forums about how both of these cams have early power loss at the upper end compared to other cams. The fact of the matter is that both of them make way more power at the upper end than your stock cams will. The difference from stock at the top isn't as pronounced as it will be at the bottom end of the rev range, but you're still making more power up there than your stock cams with either of these two replacements. My 48's pull hard right up to the rev limiter, and I'm sure the 222's will as well. Way harder than the stock cams did.
