Default blinkers

I have a 97 FXDL The left side (front&rear) blinkers stopped working. I have checked the bulbs, they are good, I have replaced the switch and the turn signal module and still no blinkers. the right side work fine.?. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Have you checked the output at the module?

If you checked everything and changed the blinker module check the plug under the
tank for a bad connection a wire may have pulled out or broke.
After that make sure your blinker fluid is topped off.

The issue is between the TSSM and the spot where the wire branches out to the front and rear.

Probably at the terminal in the connector, or an open in the wire.

This is how people save money by not buying a service manual, they guess at electrical problems, then buy parts.

You have a problem that probably is a 3 dollar repair, but you have already spent hundreds (if you bought new parts).

I had a 2005 fxdi where the bulb in the rear blinker wasn't making full contact with blinker. I added a tiny bit of solder to the bulb so it made full contact with the blinker and I never had another problem.

Not repairing the bulb.

By adding a little solder it allowed for better contact between the bulb and the blinker.

I know. But, if you want to be serious about it, why not fix the socket instead?

Because it is more fun to reinvent the light bulb?
