Hi I'm a newb so let me know when I'm doing something improperly. You won't hurt my feelings.
I just purchased the 70900100C combination speedometer/tachometer gauge kit for my 2004 Super Glide FXDI. The kit basically comes with no useable instructions and I was unable to locate any instructions on line. I did find a youtube video for a Sportster and all they did was pull the old one out and plug the new one in so that is what I did and I getting no response from the new unit, no lights or noises at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Looks like you bought the wrong part, so contact the vendor and ask about a refund. Since it's an electronic item that may be a problem, but it's worth a try.
I did notice the 2014 Super Glide in the final description and immediately contacted the dealership. The dealership assured me it was the correct one.
Now I guess I'll have to wait another 8 weeks to receive the correct one.
Thank you very much. I learned my lesson on ordering online parts. CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK!
I just installed the correct Speedo/Tach. The instructions were much better this time around and I had no issues with the install. The unit looks really good on the bike and the addition of the tach and gas gauge on unit is a real benefit.
